Local Economy x Paper Trails

We thank Local Economy owners, Tom and Jim, for entrusting Paper Trails to uphold their standard of service as they transition into retirement.

Seamless Transition: Welcome to the Paper Trails Family

What to expect next

As part of this exciting transition, we’re pleased to announce that Abbey Gangewer and Brittany Wezner, key members of the Local Economy Payroll team, will be joining Paper Trails. Their expertise and deep understanding of your payroll needs will ensure that your experience remains seamless and uninterrupted. You can expect the same friendly, personalized service you’ve always received, with the added benefit of our expanded resources and support.  Because we also use isolved at Paper Trails, there will be no change to your payroll software!

Rest assured, it’s business as usual for all Local Economy Payroll clients. Our top priority is maintaining the stability and continuity you rely on, so there will be no immediate changes to your payroll processes. Over the next several months, our Paper Trails team will personally connect with each of you to review your specific needs. During these discussions, we’ll explore opportunities to enhance your payroll and HR services, ensuring you have everything you need to manage your business smoothly and efficiently.

We’re committed to making this transition as easy and beneficial as possible for you, and we look forward to building on the strong foundation established by Local Economy Payroll.

About Paper Trails

Paper Trails was founded in Brunswick in 2004; we are Maine-born and Maine-grown. Today, twenty years later and with offices in Kennebunk and Topsham, we’ve served thousands of clients and have 17 (welcome Abbey & Brittany!) incredible team members. From our beginnings as a bookkeeping company that did payroll to today’s service offering as a payroll, human capital management and human resources consulting organization, the team is and always has been focused on you; we empower employers like you to build a business and workforce for today, tomorrow and beyond.

We’re still Mainers doing business with Mainers. We don’t like to be nickeled and dimed; we don’t like 800 numbers or long waits for service; we don’t like the Yankees; and we still see our clients at your all of the great local restaurants and at the grocery store.

We love Paper Trails! Such speedy and personalized service, and everyone who works there is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We switched to a large national payroll company for one year, and it was the worst decision. As soon as that year was up, we RAN back to Paper Trails. Look no further!!
